Posted by Liz A on March 27, 2002 at 22:42:10:I'm still tired a lot, and I'm beginning to think it's partly from dehydration. I'm on autoPAP, GoodKnight 418p at 17cm(!), and I'm sleeping better now. But my mouth is *very* dry in the am in spite of having a heated humidfier. I've always assumed it was just because my mouth is open some of the night, but even when I think it's closed and my leak rate is low, I still seem to have a very dry mouth.
Usually, I feel better only rather late in the evening and started thinking last night that perhaps it's because I drink more fluids then -- and drop out the caffeine. So, today I drank more water first thing and I felt better today. Now I think the dry mouth may partly be due to dehydration in general.

PS The 17 is partly necessary because there's a lot of resistance from my pillows to my nose (they don't fit quite right), resulting in a drop of pressure before it really gets to me. But it is working better. This am, I woke up with one nostril closed. Usually that means a headache but not this morning. I don't know why the 418p doesn't compensate for this.
