Weight Loss & BiPap Pressure

Posted by Sleepless in Seattle on March 28, 2002 at 09:30:20:

Seven months ago after my first sleep study my BiPAP was supposed to be set sat 22/19. I was never able to achieve that due to significant side effects, and settled at 15/12, treating the apnea as well as I could. Last month I had a second sleep study that showed my apnea was being fully treated at 15/12. What has changed? I have lost 60 lbs. Because of the side effects I have from the pressure, the doctor said 13/10 would probably be adequate for me.

I thought people would be interested in the effect my weight loss has had on my sleep apnea.
