I had a full night sleep study, actually two of them but I didn't sleep well at either one of them. The second one a cpap was tried but I couldn't breathe properly, the thing kept making me snort to wakefulness so a bi-level was tried and it seemed to work better. My bi-level was tried for several months before a o2 level for overnight was tried and then it was noticed about the low levels. My levels were read 4 more occasions over the next 5 months and all were low except the one on three liters per minute. Yes, I smoked about 10 years ago between a pack to 2 packs a day. I've been around smoking all my life my mom has always smoked and my dad used to before he had a heart attack about 25 years ago. I know that my o2 levels were low in the studies as well but I assume that the Dr. thought the bi-level would solve the problem and is somewhat confounded that the oxygen level is where it is for the desired result.

Thanks for your response,
