I only discuss it with her on her more lucid days, like after she has had 5 or 6 good nights of sleep in a row and we talked about it the 2nd time I judged her to be completely lucid.

She has always been in favor of it. When she getts better, she realizes how bad she was. In fact, both times she made it all the way back were very emotional, teary occasions.

Legally, it should not matter because she did some estate planning years ago and named me her 'Health Care Agent'(my state's term) in addition to giving me Power Of Attorney. Something for all of you to consider if you have been putting off your own estate planning. If you are visiting this website, make sure your agent knows something about sleep disorders.
