This is a story on it, although not very descriptive:

There have been discussions about other products in past forums. The general concensus is that they don't work for apnea. I think the products themselves generally say that they aren't for apnea, or don't mention apnea. However, a lot of us hope that they'll work anyway. If anyone wants to experiment despite the low likelyhood of them working, you could audio- or video- tape yourself one night without and another night with the stuff. Be sure you can hear your breathing so you'll know if you stop. Snoring stopping has some value, but the much bigger issue is breathing stopping or being restricted. If you're using a CPAP already, It's very inadvisable to stop the CPAP to try the snore stuff. If you find that you're having apneas despite your CPAP and the snore stuff stops or reduces the apneas, the stuff would seem to have value. If you have an AutoPAP, stopping snoring may interfere with the AutoPAP. If you're scheduled for a sleep study, you might ask to schedule some time to test the stuff. This should be after whatever else they're planning on so the stuff doesn't mess up any measurements. They could test if the apneas stop, or if not, if the CPAP pressure is less than otherwise.
