Posted by Jeff on April 05, 2002 at 16:53:02:For 2 years I used the FF1, with an insulated hose and no rainout on the highest setting. As we all know, this mask didn't seal the best. I now have some eye problems, and one can wonder..........
However, I now have the Mirage FF2 ( with 4 cosmetic cushions moleskinned on). Since a septoplasty 2 months ago, I can breathe a bit better, but still wake up more congested than ever. At this time I have the heated humidifier set a half way, and still get minor rainout. I suspect this means that I have a much better seal. However, i wake up in the middle of the night with a dry mouth from the mouthbreathing.
Can't win..............For those of you who do not need a heated humidifier, i conducted an experiment ealy this week. Using the oasis humidifier I noticed that the level only dropped about 1/2". The next night i used the heated humidifier turned off, such that all I had was a passover humidifier. Amazingly, the level of water harly even moved at all. This tells me that the oasis is superior.
And yes, I use distilled water.Comments and suggestions are welcome, as always.
