Usually a sleep test takes you BEYOND what your need in pressure, so that you get an Rx for what you need (worst case) rather than optimal pressure. An autopap would adjust but a cpap would have to be set at one value. But if they ended the sleep test too soon, they may not have gone high enough. You are probably benefiting from 7 but may need slightly more.
