How long does it take for CPAP to work

Posted by 57Guy on April 09, 2002 at 21:14:54:

The Dr. told me a year ago that I probably had sleep apnea and sent me to a sleep clinic. Sure enough, They said that I awoke (I forgot how many) times a night and ordered a Cpap machine for me. Lucky, they rented it me for a month. After trying it for two weeks and trying out two different masks, I gave up. I wake up every morning with a hangover( I havn't had a drink for 2 years) and sometimes lay in bed for one hour before I feel good enought to get up. The two weeks I tried CPAP, I didn't feel any better, so I reasoned , why put up with all the hassel of waking up, mask falling off, etc if it didn't make me feel better. After reading the posts here I might try it again. Does everyone eventally feel better?
