As you live with and learn more about sleep apnea and CPAP therapy, you will realize that most people, and many in the medical field, have little or no knowledge of sleep apnea. I point this out because I believe we have to maintain a level of knowledge sufficient to keep our docs on their toes when it comes to our medical care. A simple basic point would be a routine Rx for nasal congestion. I know that my pc doc has very little knowledge about sleep apnea. I will ask him (and my pharmicist) if it will have any effect on my sleep apnea!
I understand your difficulty in understanding some of Kevin's posts. He is good in providing information on a suitable level, but often the information he is providing is technical in nature. He is however the most knowledgable person that posts on this forum, and we can learn much from him.
The more you can read, and learn, the more you can deal with your condition (and understand Kevin's posts). It does take some time, and effort, but it is worth it.
A post I recently wrote on sleep debt and paying it off is in the last forum. The URL to it is:http://www.sleepnet.com/apnea90/messages/743.html
Just cut and paste and you'll go directly to it.
Hope this helps.
