You could have your wife watch you while sleeping, or audio- or video-tape yourself. Be sure you can hear your normal breathing, so you'll know if you stop or get restricted breathing. If your breathing stops or gets restricted, it would help to time how long it stops and how much time between stoppages. A sleep study will hopefully sort this out, but it would be helpful to know something early. This will also help you know if you need a sleep study.
