Hi there,

I just found this site and it's already been extremely informative and helpful!

I guess my story is fairly typical. I've known for years that I am a world class snorer, but for some reason I just never considered apnea (denial?). I've never been a high energy person, but lethargy has seemed to slowly take over my life without my actually realize what was happening. It's recently gotten so bad that I can't wake up at all (even with 2 alarm clocks, 2 lights and a radio going). When I do finally awaken I go through the day in a haze.

I've complained for years to my doctor about constant fatigue and he never really seemed to take me seriously so I felt like I was being a hypochondriac. Finally, at my last visit he asked if I snored and I could see the little light bulb over his head go on and he referred me to a sleep center.

I went in for my sleep test two weeks ago and I could not sleep! Maybe got up to two hours sleep, but the nurse did indicate observing some events. Finally going in to see the doctor for the follow up today. Somehow seems wrong to to hope my diagnosis shows apnea, but I'll be so relieved to know a possible end to this is near.
