Minor Success

Posted by Anxious Mae on May 06, 2002 at 15:29:23:

Thanks to all of you who have given me sugestions. Saturday night was actually successful. I turned the temp down by 1 on the humidifier and did not ramp it. I thin the lower pressure was too low. I also tried using some saline spray to keep my nose from closing up. I watched TV fro about an hour and felt totally relaxed. When I went to bed I realized that turning the light off increased my sense of claustrophobia so I left a night light on. It took about 1 1/2 hours but I was able to fall asleep and slept fairly well. I was tired Sunday but not the usually exhaustion. So when Iwent to bed last night I thought I would have another good night. I couldn't do it. The more I tried the more anxious I felt so I finally gave up.I tried using my Albuterol inhaler as well as my routine ones for my asthma and used the saline spray. I don't know why it was so difficult last night when I was able to do OK the night before. I won't give up because I know how much better I felt just one day so I am determined to make it work. I guess I was expecting an overnight miracle and I am not always a patient person. I want results immediately!! Keep your suggestions and encoragement coming cause it doesa help! Thanks everyone!!
