need OTC solution to hypnic jerks

Sometimes I have this body jerk thing as I go to sleep which can keep me from sleeping for hours. I'm on cpap so I think it's not apnea related and I see in the archives there are many that have this. Once to sleep I'm fine. I'd prefer not to go through the prescription thing with a dr.

Does anyone have a vitamin suggestion or home remedy?

Has anyone seen this as a side effect of xanax eventhough that fixes it for the short term?
