I can't address the dermatitis issue. However as far as having used both the Breeze and the NasalAire that's a no-brainer - the NasalAire is by far the best.
I could never get the Breeze to fit so it stayed in place all night. I'm an excellant mechanical problem solver but no matter how many ways I adjusted the Breeze it always shifted position. I ended up having to tape the nosepiece to my face to get it to stay. The construction was poor - it broke within the first month. Also the hard plastic was uncomfortable.
I liked the idea of nasal pillows so I ordered the custom fit headgear for an ADAMS Circuit from
CPAPMAN. This was a 100% improvement. More comfortable. Much less leakage - although I would wake up 1-2 times a night and have to slightly adjust it as the hard plastic shell that held the nasal pillows needed to adjusted.I have now been using the NasalAire for over 2 weeks. The seal is excellant. I'm sleeping even better than when I used the custom headgear. I do wear it over my ears. I am a side sleeper but it has never been uncomfortable.
