One more thought. THis is not about a true whistle, but the mask can also make noise if the little flexible covers to those two oxygen ports (the little holes in front) are not on. Those ports, I think, are for hooking up an O2 tube if you need it, but if they're open, air from inside the mask will rush out. On my ff, I put the caps in place and then taped them down, because they kept poping open and even falling off the mask entirely. As I said, the whistle, I think, is something else (see other entries here) but this is worth knowing about, too.
