I have used an Autoset machine for the past month for diagonistic purposes. The machine was set for and initial pressure of 4 with an uper bound of 20. On a number of occassions I woke up as a result of the high pressure from the machine.

What I would like to know is if the base pressure was set higher would the machine use a lower pressure in responding to the apnea? Or stated another way if the initial pressure is set too low does the machine over correct resulting in a higher pressure.

TIA

Kevin
