pps, I didn't mean to totally put you off the mouthpiece. I think that many people do get benefit, and find it tolerable with regard to comfort. You may also be able to find ones cheaper than what I had. But do be aware that for some people, long term use of the mouthpieces can cause problems with their bite (ie. tooth alignment) and some get TMJ proboblems. I don't think they've been around long enough to know for sure how common or serious those problems are. Certainly, if you can tolerate them, and they work for you, you save yourself the hassle of masking up like a fighter pilot (or Anthony Hopkins in Silence of the Lambs)--although you may look a bit like Herman Munster or that big guy from the Bond Movie who had prominent gold teeth.
