Got a new BIPAP that works!

Posted by dreamweaver on May 31, 2002 at 17:48:12:

I had a neat experience last night. My Dr. really wanted me to use BIPAP -but the one I had tried was way too noisy -with a really irritating (to me) whine. CPAP wasn't working for me -even though I tried to make it work for a month so I made a last ditch effort and called my Homceare provider and begged them to get in some different models for me to try... So last night my homecare provider and I sat down with 3 different BIPAPs and I got to try each one! What a great experience to see the differences between the machines. I came home with the Respironics BIPAP Pro -and had a great night of sleep (except for a few mask leaks -still working on that). It was so great to be able to choose what was right for me. Too bad that being able to compare CPAPS/NPAPS/masks isn't an offering all the time....
