Why heated humid. is NECESSARY!

Posted by sas on June 12, 2002 at 07:01:46:

Last night I woke several times in the night with my throat very dry... I thought I was mouth breathing, tightened the chin strap each time, turned up the humdifier. Of course, I was puzzled by why with the humidity so high I wasn't getting rainout, and why if I was mouth breathing only my throat was getting dryer and dryer...

Woke up this morning and found I hadn't plugged the hose into the humidifier, it was still plugged to the cpap from the previous morning's drying time. No wonder I was so dry! I woke twice as often as usual, and what is worse, my throat is raw and sore today, everything I drink burns it.

I won't forget to plug in my humidifier tonight!
