If you'll take the time to go to the Sleepnet homepage, you'll see a link to Sandman's book. You are probably experiencing "the odor" that he mentions. Many of us have recognized "the odor" from our own experiences with sleep apnea.
My experience with night sweats and "radiating" heat are nearly identical to yours. This all stopped when I started treatment for sleep apnea.
