Both of those are machines with good reputations.

How well either of them will work depends on what your needs are. The AutoSet T is a "flow limitation" machine. The AutoAdjust LT is not.

If you have good snore precursors to major events either machine will work (in fact any of the AutoCPAPs will work for someone with good snore precursors -- aprox 50% of OSA population).

If you have good flow limitation pecursors to more serious events -the AutoSet T will work for you. If not it won't.

The AutoAdjust LT is not perfect either, and not everyone has success with it.

None of the AutoCPAP's work for all. Unfortunatly, it is virtually impossible to predict which machine will work best for you. 5 to 10 percent of people end up with a trial and error process with different AutoCPAPs.

Both machines track mask leakage which is important (the biggest problem with AutoCPAP once past machine selection and setup is mask leakage. You need to know when this is happening so you can fix it). The AutoAdjust LT also detects and does not respond to about 85% of "probably central's".

The software is a perscription item for the AutoSet T, and is a non-perscription item for the AutoAdjust LT. This is not an issue if your Dr agrees with the need for the software and writes a Rx for it ("AutoCPAP with Software, max set at ____ and Heated Humidifer" is a suggested wording)

See my post in forum 69 on AutoCPAP triggers for a better explianation and other issues.

Also search forums under the machine names. Most AutoCPAP information was posted in the forum range from 40 - 80.

I wish you luck with this.

Perry
