I understand completely. I am so exhausted at times (not as much since I have been on the CPAP) that I couldn't get out of the car to come into the apt. bldg. and face the responsibilities that I had.

Right now I'm fighting it. But the problem has been the head gear for the Ultra Mirage. The thing is so stretched out just from washing the straps etc., that it is sliding way up on my head and loosening the mask and letting air in. And I've only had the machine since Mid-May.

I left a message for my Respiratory Therapist to call me about it. Something has to give. I have found myself waking up on my back 3 mornings in a row because the mask will not leak as much in that position.

The velcro on the straps that go through the clasp things to click into the ultra mirage keeps coming undone. If you ask me, they were skimpy on velcro, and it should have attached on a much larger surface.

I don't know what they'll say about replacing it or the type of mask, but I was given no choice of what they gave me. They said they order lots and lots of this style because they found it works best for their clients. The RT wouldn't show me any other kind.

Right now I am transitioning to a new doctor, so if they need an order for anything, I hope the new one will prescribe what is needed if necessary. I have had one visit with him, but he is not going to make any changes in my treatment until he does a repeat titration, which requires a repeat sleep study.

Just as well, because the person who did the previous one didn't do a good quality job, and just hit on me and talked about wanting to do things with me and wanted my phone number!

That didn't allow me to have good quality sleep at all to have a good idea of how many apneas and hyponeas I usually have. I laid away 250 minutes before I could even sleep after his actions.

I am very tired today. It feels like old times.
