Thanks much for your responses. I have been compiling a lot of info on apnea which has led me to seek out what part of the throat anatomy is causing the obstruction. If this question can be answered then it and just it can be addressed. The next step after CPAP is UPPP which does not target a specific cause but is more invasive by targeting the whole region of the narowing airway. Surely a means to determine the part or combination of parts thats causing the problem is available somewhere in the US.
