F&P Study on humidificiation.

Posted by Doug H. on June 26, 2002 at 09:31:43:

Ok. It’s a commercial site, but it's important.

F&P did an internal study on humidification. They concluded that heated humidification ameliorates the effects of an open mouth. It’s not clear – to me – if they’re saying that heated humidification will reduce the likelihood of leakage, or only alleviate some of the effects.

They also concluded that passive humidification has none of these benefits. In reading this study, please keep in mind that F&P sells CPAP’s with built-in heated humidifiers, and also add-on heated humidifiers. They do not make any passive humidifiers.
