I agree that I should stand up for what I think I need. I believe I should see a cardiologist just to be sure nothing serious is going on. The trouble is that I have a hard time being insistant in my opinions when I don't have 1% of the medical knowledge that my doctors' do. When they say there is nothing to worry about, how can I say "yes, there might be"? I heard about that baseball player -- and it really concerned me! But how do I make my doctors understand that I really do have some symptoms they need to take note of? It is kind of like taking your car into a mechanic. Your car will make those sounds when you are driving it, but not in the garage with the experts. How can I convince my doctors of my palpitations and pains, when they don't just happen on request?
