Bi-Pap trial

Posted by Miss Duffy on June 27, 2002 at 17:23:39:

Hi everyone,

Due to increasing problems with exhaling against a C-Pap pressure of 14 due to increasing diagphram weakness (from myasthenia gravis) I am being sent for a bi-pap trial on July 12. Is it difficult to get used to a different inhale/exhale rate? I am told that bi-pap is becoming the treatment of choice for neuromuscular patients with apnea. Are there any others out there who have neuromuscular diseases in addition to OSA. I would love your input!
Thanks!
