saw DME today

Posted by kitty on July 08, 2002 at 20:18:08:

Finally got in to the DME to get a new mask. They argued with me that medicare would only pay for i mask wvery six months. I expected that I had already called them about it. I had to insist that they ckeck the guidelines. They took a little convincing so I said I had already contacted the other local DMEs and would move my accout if they didn't go by the same guidelines. So they put in a call to the district office or what ever they call it and finally got it right. I told the girl they were losing a lot of money by refusing to replace the masks as often as they were allowed. I hate to have to deal with people who don't know their oun jobs. They alway get resentful and then you get bad service. Had to have the mask ordered. The manager is very nice but the people who work for her are just not up on things. Sorry this is so long. I am just a little angry.
