The prescription is in your name and it is your property. You have paid for it, whether wholly or in part by copay with an insurance policy that is yours, not the hospital's. It is yours to take to any supplier. You need to have a copy with you when you undertake travel. Just call and request a duplicate to be mailed to you. If they balk put on your sergeant major voice and demand it.
