I'm not sure why the DME has decided to check on your pressure, but that's one thing an auto CPAP will do (more or less). The odd thing is that I would not think the DME could change your prescription, even if they thought it was necessary, without your doctor's approval.

I have both an auto CPAP and a standard. I think generally the auto CPAP is more comfortable, and the data that the software provides can be quite useful.

This doesn't sound like anything to worry about, but it does seem a little unusual.
