The irritation of the nasal passages sounds like the humidity still isn't high enough. Make sure the humidifier is on its highest setting. Then try heating the hose to prevent rainout, and to increase the moisture that reaches her nose. A clunky, but very effective solution is to use two heating pads, wrapped around the hose with velcro, set on low.

If the currect source of masks is not meeting expectations, take the business elsewhere. There are dozens of on-line providers who will mail out a mask ASAP. They can be faxed the insurance stuff.
