In your first paragraph, you say "she has had problems with abraded nostrils with the Breeze and more recently, problems with hayfever like symptoms, nasal discharge, spotting and now last night-a nose bleed for half an hour". You are describing symptoms of two seperate problems.
Abrasion of the nairs (nostrils) is commonly caused by the Breeze adjustment being to tight and forcing the pillows tightly against the nairs. The original ADAM circuit and the Breeze are designed for the pillows to inflate and make a seal when under pressure. The higher the pressure the better the seal. For some new users it takes awhile to get used to the pillows. In the United States, I recommend neosporin which provides both a light lubrication and healing. Many prefer just a lubricant. Typically the need lasts about a week or 10 days. Of couse proper adjustment of the Breeze is necessary also. Use the search function for "Breeze Adjustment Cue Miller" He has written a couple good posts on the subject.
As to the other sypmtoms, the solution is commonly a heated humidifier. To make it work, run it at the highest setting possible, insulate the hose, give it time. After having the heat turned off on my humidifer for a period of time, and having the blood spotting as a result, it took a week to 10 days to get things back to normal.
Providing the proper solutions, and applying patience may be the right direction in your case. The patience part may be the more important. Sometimes it's time consuming to have to wait for things to get back to normal. But necessary.
