Very Embarassing

Posted by Lois on July 19, 2002 at 07:16:54:

I am an adult with obstructive sleep apnea. I am in my early 40's. I use a cpap at night. Twice in the past month I have woken up and discovered that I had wet the bed. This happens in the early morning during (what I call) very active REM sleep.

The dreams always involve going to the bathroom. Does this happen to anyone else? Is it part of sleep apnea?

I feel like this is an "Ann Landers" question. I imagine I should discuss it with my physician to rule other medical problems out.

This has happened before but not for a long time. I am going to have to line my mattress with towels.

Anyone else?

Thank you, a very embarrassed Lois : (
