Dexedrine vs. Provigil

I recently had a doctor recommend dexedrine for EDS. Does anyone have any experience with this? I had thought that Provigil would be a better choice. Are there advantages to one or the other? Thanks in advance for any info. (BTW, has anyone found that dexedrine helps with EDS? How about weight loss?)
