I speak from over 30 years as a pharmacist. It is my observation that the risks of amphetamines etc, are greater than the benifits.
They can work great in a certain subset of patients and is appropriate, but not all.

The problem is the same as tranquilizers, pain killers, and stimulants. When does a person get off them??
A certain percentage get to enjoy them and the problems begins.
How many times have i cautioned a patient of the dangers of 5 years on sleeping pills or the wonders of prednisone in controling arthritis discomfort? They always say, "my dr prescribed it". That makes it right... go figure.

thought for the day. Fifty percent of all Doctors graduate in the bottom half of their class....... ;-)
