Good evening,
I have had 3 sleep studies in the past 18 months to 2 years. i was never given a diagnoises on the first study i was just put on provigil. I was involved in a serious car wreck where i was rearended at about 55-60 miles an hour. i was knocked out for a short time. and since then i have had problems with increased sleepiness. I did have head trauma at the accident but no one ever followed up on it. i have been given a diagnoises of OSA and i was put on the machine and i did not see an improvement in the quality of my sleep. if anything i became more aware of waking during the night. i became depressed and suicidal because of the lack of improvement. I was wondering if you can get a cause and effect from the accident and maybe help me understand y i am not improving like i should. my ability to remember is bad and simple things are no longer simple. I have not driven without someone else in the car that can drive me because if the fact that it only takes me 1 minute and 30 seconds to shut down. I fear for myself and others on the road.. please help me know where to go from here and what i can do.. i have done some research on mild brain trauma that could have been caused by the accident.. sorry this is so long, but the answers i have been searching for are a long time coming too.. thank you very much
