My chin strap is an ankle support available only on professional drug stores. It is cut apart and re-engineered so that one strap of elastic (which is about 2.5" wide) goes from the back top of my head diagonally to the front , curving up a little over my chin. This takes about 2/3 of the support. Then I take what is left of this strap and sew it on one side of the main strap at an angle and taking it across the top of my head to the other side, I then sew that side down at an angle. This results in a kind of lozenge-shaped cappy-thing which holds the aparatus in place. After a couple of months it loosens a little and I take a little tuck in it. My stitching for the main strap is under the chin with the seam on the outside so it isn't irritating. This has worked for me for three years. I wish there wee some way I could draw a picture or send a photo.
