FYI it is often said here that the 'finger test' (the use of a device with a little red light that clips onto your finger and allows calculation of how much oxygen your blood is carrying) is not diagnostic of sleep disordered breathing.

In other words, a result that indicates low oxygen saturation should give rise to many more medical questions and checks before it is concluded that CPAP is the only necessary therapy.
