Probably about 50% of people have to modify the 1st generation Mirage FF mask, with pulling the nose in being the most common method, and plugging the O2 ports being the 2nd most common. A few of us have used other modifications. The 2nd generation mask solves the most common 2 of those modifications for most people.

Pulling the nose in can be done with either of 2 simple fixes (buried in the old forums and repeated many times). An "Adams Circuit" shell strap with a piece of velcro tape stuck to the nose of the mask (and the shell strap running down to the lower mask strap under the ears), or I believe John Len's homemade strap. Neither method is that difficult.
