Posted by RC on August 05, 2002 at 14:15:05:I've been on CPAP for about 3 months. At about week 3 I had a few amazing days of suddenly restored daytime energy. Since then the results have been only modest improvements from my previous daytime sleepiness. I believe it is due to breathing through my mouth. I have tried to remedy this by using a chin strap, but apparently it has not preventing air from passing through my mouth (I still get some dry mouth and my wife has noticed my mouth breathing at night). What else can you do to prevent the mouth breathing?
