need suggestions for nasal pilows

Posted by pippy on August 08, 2002 at 12:25:04:

I was put on CPAP 3 wks ago. Since that time I had been using a Contour Deluxe small. It was leaving makes on the bridge of my nose and also on my forehead and also leaking air. My DME brought me the nasal pillows (med)and all the items that go with it. I don't know if I did not have it positioned correctly or what,it was comfortable, but the exhalation hole made alot of noise. MY cpap level is only at 9. I do have a problem with mouth breathing and am using a chin strap that still lets my mouth drop open after I fall asleep. Other then the problems that I'm having, I feel like a totally different person. Even my PCP can tell a difference in how I look and feel. Any suggestions that can help would be greatly appreciated. My husband also enjoys the fact that must of the time I'm not rattling the walls with my snoring.
