How about this major goof: I had the humidifier hooked up to me, and the cpap plugged in, so it turned on and everything seemed fine, except I wasn't getting any air! Took me a few minutes of suffocation to figure out what was wrong. Now I do a double check every night after dinner (before I am too sleepy to see straight) and make sure things are hooked up the right way.
