Since I am a newbie, I don't know how normal it is but I am having very dry eyes too. I had LASIK last year so I have been very careful to keep my eyes moist and have used drops since the surgery. I use PM eye ointment that my Eye surgeon suggested after my procedure. It is thick and makes your vision fuzzy so I put it in right before going to sleep. It does help. Good luck.
