Perry: Asthma question

Posted by Peter on August 09, 2002 at 06:47:29:

Hi Perry,

I'm going to meet a doctor on Monday about my possible asthma. Like a bolt from the blue I got pneumonia in my left lung 1995. I think my “light” problems started back then.

I want to be well prepared for the meeting with the doctor. I’ve read many of your previous posts about asthma. I hope you’ve time to answer a few questions.

Q1: you have mentioned two drugs that I can’t find in the Swedish FASS over available drugs. AzmaCort and Tilade; Could you give me their complete names, please? Sometimes it’s just the names which are different here in Sweden. Could you please, give me the names of the main working substances in these drugs?

Q2: http://www.sleepnet.com/apnea20/messages/553.html is an interesting text, but it’s written almost 3 years ago. Do you have “any” update to that information?

Yours sincerely, Peter
