REALLY weird thing last night!

I am pretty new to this whole OSA diagnosis, had my CPAP for almost 2 wks now. Surprisingly, I am not having a bit of trouble getting used to my Acclaim mask with the exception of having to fix a leak every once in a while.

Here is my experience. Last night, I suddenly awoke in a panic (have NEVER done this) feeling like I couldn't breath. I had to lift the mask off of my face to "gasp" for a breath of air. Funny thing is though, CPAP was running fine and there were no blockages or kinks in my hose. This has NEVER happened to me before, even though I have obviously been having apneas for years. Anybody else ever experience anything like this AFTER they started CPAP treatment?
