From: David B.

Hi, Almost every night before I fall to sleep (which often takes 2 or more hours), i have the feeling of falling backwards off a cliff but then i wake up before I hit the water.

Im not sure what this is and I get really paranoid after it happening as I feel nauseous afterwards. jaw, airway and the esthetic issues.

Waking up short of breath, dreaming that someone is strangling you, being buried…etc. are some of the symptoms that patients with OSA experience.

It is possible that what you are experiencing is OSA. I would simply recommend a sleep study to evaluate your sleep.

Good luck.
