Posted by lisa2 on February 09, 2000 at 08:26:59:My 4 year old has never been a great sleeper. She's always come into my bed in the middle of the night. Not a big deal since my husband generally works midnights. Well, now that she has a sibling that's 2 months old, she's up every time the baby cries to eat during the night. I take the baby to her bedroom to nurse her and my 4 year old wants to come because she doesn't want to be left alone in my bed. I don't think moving my infant to her own room would help because my 4 year old would only hear me get up or realize I was gone a few minutes after I've left my room anyways. She's losing alot of sleep and sometimes has a hard time getting back to sleep. I've tried everything I can think of to get her to stay in her own room all night (bribery, talking, insisting). Nothing works. It's hard enough getting up 3 or 4 times with an infant, I just can't get up with my 4 year old as well. Does anyone know of a sure fire way to get her to stay in her own room? or at least get her to stay in my bed while I nurse her little sister? HELP!!
