nicole, all I can do is tell you where I think I went wrong. I have a 4 year old who STILL comes in EVERY night to my bed at around 3 or 4 am. She started this at around age 2 and I gave in. BIG MISTAKE. I think I should have kept putting her back in her own bed - no matter how tired I was. That was my excuse too. I figured I hadn't had a good night sleep in 2 years, and if she slept well in my bed, so what. Well, now I have a 2nd child and besides getting up with the baby, I'm getting up with my 4 year old too. It sure makes things 1000% harder. So, my best advice would be: If he was sleeping like a champ in his own bed for a period of time, hang in there. He'll get there again. Just BE CONSISTENT in what you plan to do. I'd say put him back in his own bed. I guarantee my infant will never sleep in my bed.
