Retrognathia

Posted by Danielle on February 15, 2000 at 08:16:37:

Hi, I looking for some info. re:retrognathia in children and someone who may be willing to share their experiences with my son and me. We were told he had retrognathia at 6mo. old. For several years we were told to wait until he was older to start treatment. Now however he is six years old and combined with the retrognathia we are dealing with sleep apnea. Doctors are recommending a Distraction Procedure. I'm not really aware of all the possible ways to treat these conditions. If anyone has any ideas or has heard of any treatments you could share we would really appreciate it. Our next appt. with the Dr. is on Febuary 17,2000 . We would really like to avoid as many painful procedures as possible. Thank you in advance for your help and your replys. Danielle and A.J.
