FIrst, have a complete checkup with pediatrician and talk over this problem. Second, try and remember if anthing traumatic occurred when this all started. if not, read and use Ferber's How to Sove your CHild's Sleep Problems - a book mentioned elsewhere on the forum which covers alost every problem and solution. If there is trauma - a scary event or even a scary movie - you might consoder ey movement desentisation therapy - also known as EMDR do a search of author Francine Shapiro and also there are some mentions of it earlier in this forum. Finally remember you are not alone. A lot of us parents have been through this problem and got to the other side. I did it with Ferber method; my friend did it with EMDR.
