5 yr old won't sleep alone

Posted by LoriB on February 21, 2000 at 11:08:19:

My 5 yr old daughter will not sleep alone. I lie w/her until she falls asleep, but by 2 or 3 in the morning she wakes up and screams for me. As long as I lay w/her she will sleep, but if I leave the bed she wakes up screaming. I know she is old enough to sleep alone but I don't know how to break her from having to have me with her. Help!
